A walk home from a night out with old friends always puts you in a reflective mood. Maybe you open up to the world a little. Beer helps. That said, a smartphone camera lens is a poor way to capture a night time scene, but hopefully this gives some sense of the unusual.
I am always struck by the way everyday things are transformed by the gifts of the natural world and ‘man’. Here, the late summer light has not quite left this Scottish sky. But the sodium streetlighting has come on, bathing the birch tree in orange light, transforming it from silver and green to a coppery gold. The mixtures of blue, grey and copper really struck me as somehow odd and otherworldly. But maybe that’s just me 🙂
